Jan. 16 - Jeff Cheal’s team from the Sherbrooke Legion Branch #10 are the 2011 Royal Canadian
Legion Quebec provincial champions after beating Team Lassenba from the North Hatley
                 branch in the final game.

Jan. 16 - Brad Lassenba continued his playoff winning streak in the semi final game against
Normand Favreau. Trailing by 1 in the last end and without the hammer, the final result
came down to the last rock and Team Lassenba scored enough points to steal the win.

Jan. 16 - Brad Lassenba defeated Lynda Putnam’s team in the Sunday morning quarter final game
and will face Normand Favreau in the semi final.

Jan. 15 - The round robin stage is finished and the competition was so close that three tiebreak
draws were necessary to determine the playoff teams.

In the “A” pool, Jeff Cheal (Sherbrooke) finished 1st with a 4-1 record but three teams were
tied for 2nd place with 3-2 records: Jack Crombie (Hudson), Lynda Putnam (Hudson) and
Eric Green (Otterburn Park). Since Lynda Putnam’s team won against Green and Crombie
her team got a bye in the first round of tiebreak draws. Her team then waited and watched
as Jack Crombie’s team played against Eric Green’s team to whom they lost in round robin
play. Team Crombie turned the table around and this time beat the team from Otterburn
Park. However, they were not able to do the same thing against Lynda Putnam’s team which
earned the 2nd place overall in the “A” pool.

In the “B” pool, Normand Favreau (Cowansville) finished 1st overall with a 4-1 record but
there was a two-way tie for 2nd place between Brad Lassenba (North Hatley) and Greg
MacLennan (Buckingham). MacLennan won the round robin draw between these two teams
but in their tiebreak match it was Lassenba who came out on top, earning the overall 2nd
place in the “B” pool and the right to play in the semi final on Sunday.
