The two teams exchange the leads several times in the first six ends but Team Faguy scored two points in the 7th end to take a 5-3 which they would never relinquish. They stole two more points in the 8th end and one more in the 9th end to take a commanding 8-3 lead and the teams decided that it was not necessary to play the 10th end.

Right after the game, the Royal Canadian Legion Sports Committee Chairman Norman Shelton was on hand to congratulate the teams and to present to them their commemorative patches, plaques, pins as well as the Molson Perpetual Trophy for the winners.

The Buckingham team will now represent the Quebec Command at the Royal Canadian Legion National Curling Championship in Saskatoon, SK between March 13 and 17, 2012 which is likely to be the last time that this event will be held after a 56 year run.
